Give people useful answers about your business

When people ask an AI tool about a service, it may use information from websites to assemble an answer. Specific, accessible information about what your business does gives those systems a useful source and helps customers understand whether you are a good fit.

Be specific about the business

Explain your services, who they are for and any relevant area coverage. Keep important details consistent. A description full of broad promises is less useful to a customer than a specific explanation.

Answer questions where they belong

If customers ask about your process, explain it on the service page. If they need to understand a limitation, make it clear. Useful answers belong in the visitor journey; they do not all need a separate FAQ page.

Keep the foundations in view

For Google’s AI features, its published guidance says the same foundations for being found in search still apply: useful content that can be accessed and understood. Other platforms have their own systems and requirements.

Keep expectations grounded

No one can promise that an AI system will mention or recommend a particular business. Focus on information you can improve, and be clear about what any visibility check does and does not show.
